Guest Policies

Welcome to Bellerive Country Club!  We hope that you find the enclosed information helpful as you enjoy our facilities as an invited guest of one of our members. If there is anything we can do to enhance your visit, please let one of our staff members know.

Tipping:
No guest shall give tips, fees or gratuities of any kind to Club employees (other than locker room attendants). Club employees (other than locker room attendants) shall not accept any tips, fees or gratuities of any kind from any guest.  For purposes of this rule, valet parkers should not be tipped.

Parking:
The Club provides Valet Service every evening during the winter season and on weekends in the summer.  If you are playing golf, please drive directly into the Clubhouse circle and let Club staff know the name of the member you are joining. Your clubs will be taken from your car, tagged and sent to the starting area. Clubs will be returned to the clubhouse entrance at the end of your round or placed in the trunk of your car.

Lockers:  
We welcome and encourage you to use our full service locker rooms. Both Men’s and Women’s lockers are available. After your arrival, please proceed to either locker room located near the Golf Shop. Our locker room attendant will assign you a guest locker and will be available to offer any assistance that you need. Children under 18 are not permitted in the clubhouse locker rooms unattended.  Boys and girls under 18 are to use the children’s locker rooms located near the pool.

Dress Requirements:
Guests are required to wear appropriate country club attire at all times on Club premises.   Guidelines as to appropriate dress for the various areas of the Clubhouse and grounds may be obtained from members.  In all instances, clothes should be neat and clean in appearance and shirttails should be tucked in.  Attire that is not acceptable in the Clubhouse:  short shorts, cutoffs, gym shorts, sweatsuits, halter tops, swimsuits and ripped or frayed clothing of any kind.  

Golf Attire:
Men's Attire: Men are required to wear collared shirts or turtlenecks at all times. Sport slacks or walking shorts are acceptable, but shorts must be no more than 4” above the knee.  Blue jeans, cargo pants, tee shirts and warm-up suits are not permitted.

Women’s Attire: Women are required to wear skirts, tailored full-length slacks or walking shorts no more than 4” above the knees. Shirts without collars are permitted, but tank tops or warm-up suits are not permitted.

Golf Shoes: Nonmetal spike: Metal spikes are not permitted on the golf course.  Guests who need to change their spikes should contact a locker room attendant.  Locker room attendants can provide lockers for guests; guests should not change their shoes in the parking lot.

Tennis Attire:
White tennis clothing (maximum 25% color) and tennis shoes must be worn on the tennis courts.  The term "tennis shoes" shall mean a court or athletic shoe with a sole appropriate for tennis.  Waffled soles or running shoes shall not be permitted on the tennis courts. 

Golf Practice Area:
We invite you to use our large driving range, short game practice area, and practice putting green prior to and after your round.

Speed of Play:
Players are expected to finish 9 holes in two hours and 18 holes in four hours or less.  Slow players are encouraged to let others play through.

Smoking Policy:
Smoking is not permitted in the Clubhouse or on the Terrace except in the Bellerive room before 5pm, Men’s Grill(except times when there are club events in  the Men’s Grill), Women’s Lounge and a designated area of the Terrace. The designated area of the Terrace is located to the east and north of the covered area. Members are asked to refrain from smoking in these areas while food service is being provided. Smoking is not permitted in the spa area of the Men’s locker room. In addition, smoking is not permitted in the Tee Hut, Swim Hut, or Pro shop, or immediately outside the front door of the Clubhouse.  People wishing to smoke during a meal may excuse themselves to a designated area of the Club were smoking is permitted.  Smokers are asked to be mindful of and respect the wishes of non-smokers.

Cellular Phones and Other Electronic Equipment:
The use of cellular phones and PDA’s (Personal Digital Assistants and BlackBerrys) in the Clubhouse (including the Men's Grill) is prohibited except in restrooms and locker rooms.  The term “cellular phones” includes cellular phone devices with digital components allowing the user to collect, store and transmit digital photographs and other images of any kind. This rule is intended to protect the privacy rights of Members and to protect the Club’s proprietary rights.  Guests are requested to take steps to ensure that incoming phone calls are made to the Club’s telephone, rather than cellular phones.  The use of cellular phones on the golf course and grounds should be limited to extreme emergencies only. 

The use of electronic equipment such as laptop computers, handheld televisions or radios, portable CD or DVD players is prohibited except as approved by the General Manager in connection with a private party.
